Fuel Transfer Pumps
12V and 24V electric fuel transfer pumps for diesel and kerosene — for refuelling tractors, plant and commercial vehicles from a bulk tank, IBC or drum, and for decanting between tanks on farms, yards and depots.
Diesel and Kerosene Only — Not for Petrol
These pumps are rated for diesel and kerosene. They must not be used with petrol, or with any other flammable liquid that gives off vapour at ambient temperature. Petrol requires explosion-protected equipment, and a standard transfer pump motor is a source of ignition. This is the first thing to confirm before ordering, and it is not a formality.
12V and 24V Pumps
Voltage is chosen to match the supply you are running the pump from. The 12V pump suits cars, vans, tractors and standard leisure batteries; the 24V suits commercial vehicles, larger plant and 24V systems. Both run directly from a vehicle or standalone battery, so the pump works wherever the tank is rather than needing mains power — the usual reason a battery pump is chosen over a mains unit on a farm or site.
Flow Rate and What Is Supplied
The 24V pump moves 40 litres per minute from a 2800 RPM motor and is supplied as a complete kit: a manual fuel gun, a 2 metre suction hose with filter, and a 4 metre delivery hose. That covers a normal drum or IBC setup without buying hose separately. Flow rate matters more than it first appears — at 40 litres per minute a 200 litre tank fills in five minutes, where a slower pump turns the same job into a fifteen minute wait.
Suction Filter
The suction hose includes a filter. Tank sediment and water are the usual cause of injector and filter problems on machinery, and the point to catch them is when fuel leaves the storage tank, not after it is in the machine.

- Confirm the fuel — diesel and kerosene only, never petrol
- Match the voltage to the battery or supply you will run it from
- Check whether hoses and a fuel gun are included or need ordering
- Consider flow rate against the tank size you fill most often
